No, the point is not about Duke the Game. My point is Pitchford himself got online raving about a product he knew sucked ball. So, he and game devs ingeneral cannot be trusted. These peeps have 0% integrity when it comes to making dough.
If they wanna play that kinda game they better not cry the blues when Gamers eventually start to play hardball with them, and call them on these things. Nope, GearBox didn`t design duke, but they took on the contract. Which imho makes them JUST as culpable.
Long story short, I an freaking tired of Game Devs high freaking fiving themselves and bragging ass off about how cool a thing is gonna be all thru the 5+ year Developement stage, how they are as much a fan as us..... only to find AFTER they Jedi Mindtricked everyone at final release= they got our dough.... that the game is way too tightly scripted, feels like a console port repleat with consolelike controls, very little if any replay value, 5 to 6 hours or less to complete, there is more CGI than game.... the list goes on.
When are Devs gonna actually pony up and deliver???? It is all well good and fine to be happy and wowed by what they see they`ve done, but the real trick is to wow us the Buyer. Which is something to date I am still waiting to experience as far as AL()EN PC games are concerned.
Hey? I could be totally wrong. A CMs just might be the 1 lone AL()ENs game to deliver. But history so far tells me otherwise. And as we all know, history has an uncanny way of repeating itself.
