I sometimes make my girl watch me play games. To show off how cool I am...until she walks away after like 3 minutes. But then she makes me watch some idiotic dancing show so it's all fair.

Finally getting around to the last 2 DLC's for Fallout 3. Right now on the alien one, its decent, though repetitive as hell. Little change of scenery, perhaps at least a semblance of a story would be nice. Finding all the logs is getting annoying as well.

I finished the Witcher yesterday at night sometime... Not good when you have to go to work the next day.

But I do think it was a magnificient game, great soundtrack, proper PC title with complex stuff, buttons and no QTA twattery.

Multiple paths, no black & white options, decisions that actually change things, all you need from an awesome RPG.

And I thought I couldn't spend 60+ hours on a game these days. Oh how wrong I was, now off to wait for the sequel.

Prolly a good time to pick up Fallout New Vegas then

I've been playing Madden 10 and NHL 11 lately. NHL is awesome because even people who don't know anything about hockey can pick it up pretty easily and enjoy it.

Finally stopped playing World Of Warcraft again - although more by circumstance than choice. My wife overdrew my British bank account so I no longer have funds to pay the subs - much less purchase Cataclysm. So it looks like I'm exiled from Azeroth for the foreseeable future....

....but I've replaced Azeroth with Middle-Earth since I'm now playing Lord Of The Rings Online again. It's still good fun and the server populations are much larger since it went free-to-play. Anyone feeling like having a go (in the USA) can find me on the Brandywine server as Braithir.

Also still playing a bit of Left 4 Dead 2 and Day Of Defeat Source on occasion too. Really must get back to finishing Fallout: New Vegas as well.

You don't even have to buy the game - just download and install the client and start playing. At the present moment, you can quest in four zones (Ered Luin, The Shire, Breeland, Lone-Lands) for no cost whatsoever - enough to get you to around level 30 (max is 65). Once you hit 30, you can freely roam around all of the zones west of Moria but outside of the aforementioned four, you'll have to buy quest packs to do anything except explore (and kill mobs).

Buying additional content can be done in two ways - you can either accrue 'Turbine Points' by earning ingame achievements or buying them with real cash. Or you can take up a recurring subscription which gives you access to pretty much everything (although the Moria and Mirkwood expansions will still cost you points). I've chosen the latter because you can get 3 months full access for a tenner a month (by choosing the 3 month recurring subscription option).

Still....the free trial is very generous (especially compared to the likes of Warhammer MMO) and by the time you hit level 30, you'll know if you are hooked enough to examine your options going forward.

Playing Left 4 Dead and L$D2 (although far less than L4D, something about the new survivors puts me off the second one /shrug). I've been downloading custom campaigns like crazy for the first one.

Been playing Starcraft 2 custom games, especially one called star battles, kinda like warcraft 3's footmen frenzy except you only get one space ship and no respawns, fun little game.

I picked up Cataclysm, and honestly, haven't spent much time with it. Guess its just getting boring again or something, I don't know, 2 1/2 months away from the game I thought I'd be psyched to get back into it, but oh well.

Just earlier I reinstalled Doom 3 on my pc, now that it can run the damn thing at highest graphics, should be a bit more fun for some mindless shooting.

Also am in the process of downloading (from Steam) Killing floor bundle and Metro 2033. Killing floor bundle cost me $6.80 and the Metro 2033 cost me $9.99

I heard the Killing Floor was pretty damn good horror type game so I picked it up.

Been wanting to play Metro 2033, but didn't really have reason to do it, but now at $10, I figured why the hell not?

My Xbox 360 continues to remain unused due to the fact that the piece of shit is broken and I figure fuck it, I might as well save some money to buy one of the new 250GB xbox's, although Kinect can go right off and fuck itself!

I do plan on purchasing Konami's X-Men arcade game as soon as it becomes available tomorrow on xbla. It has 4-6 online multiplayer, unless they changed it, but I haven't heard anything of the like.

LOL, that actually made me chuckle. No, I don' t know why I just can't seem to get to like any of the newer survivors. Its just they seem somewhat plainer, if that's even a word. The only one I like and for that matter even use whenever I'm in the mood to play L4D2 is Ellis, and that's only because he has some humorous lines, such as all the crazy shit that he and his buddy Keith get into.

Nick....well he's just an asshole and I agree with Francis and Louis, Bill would have shot his ass within 5 minutes of meeting him.

Coach...I don't know can't seem to find anything about him that makes me like him, and same goes for...oh hell I seriously don't even remember her name, but she is even more utterly plain than Coach and Nick put together. It's like she is just along for the ride. I seriously can't even think of, just got it, her name is Rochelle.

I don't know it seems to me anyways, that the Left 4 Dead cast had more personality than the newer people, although lucky for the new blood they have Ellis to make up for the fact that they aren't that likeable.

Although it still annoys me to no end that they decided to kill off Bill. I always used him or Zoey. At least he went out in a glorious manner. Although it was pretty fucking hard to do the Sacrifice on your own with bots.

OT though, I have played both Killing Floor and to a lesser extent Metro 2033.

Killing floor is like the Nazi Zombie mode from CoD:WaW, so if you liked that game mode, I'm pretty sure that you'd end up liking Killing Floor. Plus if I remember correctly there was a pretty cool mod/campaign made for it by some fans.

Metro 2033....I'll just say Fallout3/Bioshock hybrid and be done withit. Haven't played it that much to really go into too much detail, but then again haven't played Killing Floor that much other, but for $6.80 and $9.99, they were good purchases.

Oh also picked up the X-Men Arcade game on the xbox live arcade. Within moments of starting the game, memories of my childhood going to the arcades whilst mom was in the perfume shop next door came flooding back to me. Ah...good times!

Yeah, that's rather odd. You shouldn't need to do anything more than download and run the client. Maybe check your account info and make sure it's set to F2P?

Where it asks you to enter your product key, there should be a login to the bottom left of that. Use that and see if you can select you account type on the following screen.

Alternating between Dead Rising 2 (PS3) and Alien Vs. Predator (SNES/Android). Honestly DR2 hasn't been nearly as good as I'd expected it to be and "Streets of Pred" is always epic anyone remember the proper strategy for defeating the gorilla alien btw?

I stopped in the middle of Bad Company 2 a few weeks ago, haven't gotten back to it yet. Fucking helicopters.

I'm playing through Dead Space right now. About 1/3 of the way through, because, pussy that I am, I have to play in short intervals because I get so stressed out.

Couldn't say what performance would or will be like. I played World Of Warcraft on Euro servers from the USA for ages and didn't have any notable performance issues. But Turbine isn't Blizzard so hard to say if it'd be a similar state of affairs.
