You can play 'classic mode' (fuck knows) in-browser on minecraft.net but I think that might just entail freebuild. Ie infinite materials and no enemies etc.
Kenso I have messaged ye with the IP I'm currently building on but apparently Salvage and ECE are on another that I may try. Current one is a bit laggy sometimes and also theres a lot of item spawning (of which I am guilty) and, more seriously, assholes building EVERYTHING OUT OF FUCKING OBSIDIAN! |

I've gotten into BFBC2 multiplayer, which is pretty fun. You really feel like you're part of an actual mission and it isn't just KILL ALL THEMS SONSABITCHES THEYS GLOW RED AND YOUS GLOW BLUE.
I am but a lowly Private II, as my game sometime lags and I suck since I just started, but it's still fun. I already knifed a few of those guys with the fancy gold stars, which I'm sure ruined their week as they probably play this game 24/7. |

red dead redemption; i think i'm making some progress but i'm looking forward to unlocking some new areas now; i've heard of a areas of forest with bears and elk, a city and mexico and i fancy exploring and playing there; can't decide whether i like marston, at times he's pretty generic but at others he's a likeable badass. i like seth, but i hope irish and west dickens die brutally.

Played through Metro 2033 again, but I'm up to an area with loads of amoebas and no fucking ammo. So I'm taking a break for a while until I load up and earlier save and try to conserve as much ammo as I can. Frustrating.
I've been playing through Oblivion again, as well. I've been reading Game of Thrones, so they both kind of go hand in hand. |

One of the best games I've played this year is Word War III - but beware, because the game is pretty complex and hard to beat. I think you can get it at Steam or at ThePlayChannel.com, whichever is cheaper. It's kinda hard to describe because its based on such a original idea...
Here is a walk through of the game: theplaychannel.com/Game-Reviews-Strategy-Word-War-01.html |

i've stopped playing it myself because of some kind of bug that causes the game to crash and go to xbox dashboard whenever i open a container for items or money during some - not all, but a fair amount - missions, occasionally in one of marston's safehouse or even just a random house somewhere, and always during gang hideouts, which is terribly unfortunate as the gaptooth breach hideout in the gold mine requires you to open the container for the loot in order to complete the hideout. this makes the game impossible to complete, which is a massive bummer because i absolutely love it and am also around 75% through it. it's glitched at times too but i could live with that; i rate the game that highly. can't live with this bug though. oh well ![]() instead, i've been delving into collection of 360 games, most of which a friend gave me - among others he gave me orange box, and i love it, portal is absolutely amazing i did get stuck on like the second room, but when i figured out what to do, my god. it just went from there; what a beautiful concept for a game, beautifully and intuitively executed, and the intercom lady is funny too just to top it off. i want to play half life 2 but i need to wait for freemans mind to finish. i've played aliens vs predator too, but found it somewhat... not so amazing, after being utterly thrilled to hear of it and see the trailers and so forth. i've only tried the alien mission thus far, and the survival bit. action's alright but pressing a button to enter a vent is pretty shit among other things, and the story looks like they ran with the AvP films' angle which is also exceedingly disappointing. also got into FIFA a bit which can be frustrating but also rewarding when you get it right and beat someone good in an epic match. somewhat frustrating that you need to be connected to xbox live to save a video of a goal though. force unleashed is cool, enjoyed that quite a bit, although i can see it losing its novelty at some point. halo wars also looks intriguing; i've never really played RTS games before but it being halo i think i can enjoy it; GTA 4 looks great too but i'm apprehensive about playing it and continuing with san andreas; rockstar games have a habit of being amazing but developing a problem that prevents me from finishing them, thus destroying an otherwise beautiful experience. i've also downloaded those 10 NES games on the 3DS, through that ambassador program - stuff like super mario bros, metroid, legend of zelda, donkey kong jn, zelda 2 etc. and i do appreciate that. 10 more games to come later too, awesomely enough. also got steam, downloading team fortress 2 and something called crimecraft, and will be getting original alien vs predator too. so quite a few games i'm working on | |

I, I can't stop playing SC 2.awesome game.because of the ranking system the multiplayer is really catchy.and if you are not such a good player for multiplayer yoy got those achievments wich for some are sooo important to get.like a friend of mine for ex.he has double the number of achievments but I kick his ass kinda bad.
also ,till 3 or 4 moths ago I was playing intensively[ avp3.like Acid Glow said, in multiplayer the game is really good.really hardcore.but I'm in turkey now until next month and I left my "shooter games" keyboard at home.I don't wanna destroy my laptop keyboard when Acid Glow headbites me from running at full speed hehe ![]()

I recently played through Alan Wake courtesy of Steam. I didn't get the chance to play it before because I don't own a 360. But I'm gonna say it's a pretty good game. The story is intriguing and kept me wanting to play through. It can also be absurd at times, but this game from the get-go follows some Stephen King ideals (many references are in this game) which sets it in a like-minded world.
The gameplay I thought was pretty tense thanks to the "darkness" that consumes enemies (and objects) which you need to expel from them with your flashlight before you can physically shoot them. It can be a matter of having to be quick and aware of what's around you at times, which adds to it all. Sometimes you may need to run towards light or even have to start up generators while you're being chased. Although, the game is very generous with giving you ammo, flashbangs and batteries, which I found lessened the tension somewhat (and I was playing on hard, go figure). It got to the point where I always had flashbangs on me, so it didn't really matter if I got out-numbered, I always had that safe-guard of blowing everything up if I happened to be surrounded. I would've liked it if the game was a little more cruel every once and awhile and made me actually feel like a had to survive. I do like how open the forests feel, even if there's only one path to go. You have an objective marker but you can still, in most sections, run anywhere you want, and it really gives you a good feeling of dread sometimes. I think it would've been cool if instead of an obligatory objective marker, they gave you a compass that you have to pull out all the time to see if you're going the right way - it could make being in the forest more scary and accentuate the "lost-in-the-wilderness" aspect. There's also a shit-load of secrets and many hidden items you can find off the beaten path (which is probably why I was always stocked up). But I really like the whole X-files vibe this game has going on. The game is pretty much one big movie with gameplay parts in-between. Normally I'd find that annoying because I want to play games not watch them, but the gameplay sections in this game actually are pretty cool and do carry a bit of the old-school survival horror style, and the story is interesting, so I enjoyed it. |

Just finished BlackOps sp campaign. Ya know, it wasn`t too bad. The Interogator got really annoying after awhile. But otherwise, it was interesting. Way too onrails tho. I wasn`t gonna buy BOs... but I needed some sp action desperately. lol

Lord Of The Rings Online continues to be my primary time-consumer at present. That said, I've also had some side diversions:
Day Of Defeat: Source is still my FPS preference when I want some quick gratuitous shooter violence. What sucks is that I was ranked 26th over 200,000 other players on Edgegamers until recently when the stats got reset ![]() I picked up Lord Of The Rings: War In The North from Amazon for a mere $15 and found it to be rather fun despite its simplistic nature and mediocre reviews. It'd have been nice to try the 3 player co-op mode but I guess it's far too late in the day now for that to occur (given the age of the game now). Also grabbed Batman: Arkham City in the Steam weekend sale yesterday. As I expected, it's as good as the previous game which I enjoyed immensely. It's a shame these games don't have much in terms of replayability but the initial playthrough is always excellent. On a side note, I played the trials for both Diablo III and Star Wars: The Old Republic and came away unimpressed by either. |

Barely been playing anything as of late. Occasional skate 3 sesh from time to time and I still claim to be playing Skyrim and want to finish the theives guild though I haven't played it in over 3 weeks. Don't think I've turned on my xbox in 2 weeks to be honest.

Sniper Elite V2. I think this game is a blast. It only suffers from some bad AI here and there (typical Rebellion stuff) but there's generally nothing that kills the fun of one-shotting a bunch of panicking cunts from across the map. Also has co-op which I'm itching to try soon.
