Prometheus Theme in Church Promo

In case you didn't know, I'm a christian, I believe in God. I don't go around trying to convert people or anything like that, but it's just who I am. Anyway, I was up late one night or morning and ran across this commercial for this church. Needless to say, the commercial creeped the crap out of me. I'm all for God, but I think it's a little overboard to use the music from Alien/Prometheus to promote your church.

I like to think "to each his own" but....

Your church is fucked up when:

1) It's paying for commercials.
2) You're worshiping a man who is really a pretty lousy con-artist.

LOL. Nice.

I did a short commercial clip to be used in a church (like, on their video monitors) once that had really short clips from a Marylin Manson song on it in the background. I forgot what song I used, I'll have to dig up a copy of the clip for you guys. I loved the fact everyone loved the clip, and someone actually commented on my good choice of music, asked who it was. I told them I didn't really know :-)

Dude, we all know that a $100 donation only gets you on God's good side. He doesn't up a miraculous healing for less than $1,000. And for a broken hip???? At least $10,000.

It still surprises me this sort of thing remains prevalent these days. It feels like such a 70's/80's thing to me. Aren't people wiser/less isolated now?

The internet should open more information to people at least and open their minds to other possibilities and maybe make them weigh up their beliefs and whatnot. I'm giving the human race too much credit here, I know, but I would think natural curiosity should at least open the way for some people to educate themselves and grow up from this sort of crap.
