I have not been able to spend much time on these forums this year. I decided to give it a go again. What's happened during my absence? Are there even anyone left?

Yeah for the most part we've been without any interesting posts, it seems a lot of us still poke our noses in here at the chance that someone has posted something worth talking about, but none of us have anything interesting to say.

We could go back to posting politics 24/7, that'll liven up the place.

I wouldn't be surprised if Obama scrapes through. It might come down to one state.

It'd be ironic if it comes down to a repeat of the 2000 election and Romney wins more votes but loses in the electoral college because all of the fervent Obama hate is generally restricted to a small area that always votes Republican anyway.

It shouldn't be too hard. All the countries that have employed Romney's economic plan are now in a lot worse economic state than America. But maybe Americans have to learn the hard way.

I must admit it's a damn good spectacle to observe from afar though - the entire Republican presidential candidate race for this election has been really entertaining. Somehow it's fun to watch those people stumble around.

The bet was made a year or so ago by the way, I'm sure my friend regrets it a bit now.

i havent been able to log in on my phone anymore so i havent been able to post at all, though today im off and bored and stopped back in. obv when i stop posting this place turns to shit.

current polls show a few things. first they show obama not winning any new states, in fact losing states he carried in 2008, and iirc, no incumbent has ever won election while losing states. other, naturally polls, ppp etc have obama leading by a point, but those polls also have ridiculous samples that show democrat party id advantages higher or on par with 2008 levels which is absurd. in every recent election where party id is nearly even [as it is now] the republicans tend to win. unless romney goes to the debate with a living cat and skins it as the answer to his first question, i'm going to assume a romney victory.

I registered republican in order to vote for Ron Paul but since essentially just stopped running without dropping out.. I changed to independent so I could vote for Gary Johnson.

Local gov't is the key. More people need to wake up and realize the raping from Obama and Romney is not really love.
