Base assignment

Well, this weekend I found out what base I'll be going to after I graduate. I'll be heading to Eglin AFB in Florida. Based on my AFSC and what the base does, I'll probably be playing with things that go boom.

Not sure, sometime after Dec 18th. Haven't received my orders yet.

Oooh.. wasn't that where Hunter S. Thompson was stationed?

Besides that, I know nothing of it.... but I was born on Jacksonville AFB, and raised in George AFB.

West Coast represent :P

Not sure about the Hunter S. Thompson thing (didn't even know he was in the military).

I know 'most' people would be excited about the sun/beach/warm weather (I'm not a fan of cold), but I'm not fond of the cursed day star; about the only problem I see besides the hurricans (I do like thunderstorms).

Awesome! I've always wondered what it would be like to work there. I know that they got to do a lot of testing with the MOAB and the SFW when those came about.
