The T-shirt was never produced, mainly due to rights issues (I remember talking to Fox about it). The skins are all archived on my CD-ROM collection.

For the life of me I can't remember how I found this place. I remember deciding to carry on my username (this was my second forum back when I was still an internet n00b), and even remember my first thread, but no matter how hard I try I can't recall how i got here.

Just been browsing the old AvPNews and AvP Network pages in the Wayback Archives. So many memories there, including when Eldritch and I first took over AvPNews from Pez in 2001, and my resignation in March 2003. Great stuff.

Heh, yeah but some people churned out some really crap skins. One of the reasons I stopped doing Cocoon-Ed is because alot of submissions were so blatantly rip offs of other people's work (including some of my own). Then there were the people who did fucking anime skins, or obscenely bright-glo Predator and Alien skins that looked so out of place that one wonders what possessed them to conceive such things.
Incidentally, I still have all of the original editing programs too, such as Ripley II, Texture Infector, Nelev, and the like

Man those were THE best days of gaming for me. ;p I didn`t know anything of modding etc, and was hanging with Sado... starting to use mod skins on AVP. Had Sados Aliens vids playing on my AVP ingame monitor screens.. That mod REALLY helped to suck me into the Aliens atmosphere.
I used the Giger black Alien skin and Willis Choices Movie accurate Predator skin. And the community at that time now that I look back.... were alround pretty amazing good peeps. We had different ages etc, but most everyone was ontrack and came for the love of the franchise. When the modding started, many peeps did churn out alotta crap, but some diamonds really stood out. I do miss those times. But, who knows? Sados still around, Eldritch can prolly be found. Swiss Pred maybe? PEZ. If we get another game, it could happen again. :0) Gotta add that we cannot forget Arkana. It was at his forums where I met Sadogoat, Eldritch and Ventura, Android ,Swiss Pred, Camorgan etc etc etc. We had the greatest flamewars ever, and we were allowed to continue till everyone saw eye to eye. My my times have changed. |

Yes, I as well remember those days. I remember downloading the Black Predalien skin, the more detailed Marine skin with M3 armor, motion tracker skin, and the pulse rifle color skin. Not to mention the movie pistol sound I downloaded from IndyUKCM. Is he still here by the way?

Hasn't been back since the last of many fourms cave ins; about a month before then he pretty much offically threw in the towel, save for the maintaining of his site. As for Skins, I used my own personal Brown Spike Style Alien wif gold teefs, Black Predalien, Will's Photo-Realistic Predator (the second one) and Ash Marine with custom Ash taunts.
Incidentally, I still have all of the original editing programs too, such as Ripley II, Texture Infector, Nelev, and the like Mine are still installed, rofl, even though since I own two 8800 Ultras means I can't play the game anymore unless I upgrade to Vista... Which won't be happening til it works. In five years. |

Howdy havn't been on here in a LONG while, but i got nostalgic and thought i'd take a lookie. It's so amazing to see you still have all those stuff Sado. I remember back in the days when you also helped out at the Network and you made that great desktop theme with the predator severed arm with dripping blood mouse icon.
It's actually quite funny talking to a lot of people who were avp fans post-film and just how much they've missed out on. To think many of them don't even know there are games prior to concrete jungle. Anyway great to see you're doing well and a few names i recognise. *note* Will need to see if there are any PAK members still around */note* **Edit** WOW are those my details? will need to change them **/edit** |

Holy shit....good to see you again, Bal'tek! With the exception of Shataan, myself, and small handful of others, there's not many of us ancient AvP community veterans left anymore (as you may have already noticed).

Yes, it truly is nostalgic to happen across these boards once more. I used to spend a fairly decent amount of time here.
Oddly enough, I watched part of Aliens and boy, how I still despise the character of Hudson. So flipping annoying. Thank GOD Mr. Cameron entered the character of Hicks into the fray or else the middle hour of the film would have been worthlessly dull. Poncho |

Yes, I get nostalgic just hearing you guys talk about all this. Im definitly gonna save afew pics to the hard drive. I often wonder when the busy times will retun to these forums. Note I said when not if (im stayin optimistic here). I guess its up to us fans to make a decent AVP film. Keep in mind the last Star Trek movie was written by a fan. Any ideas people?

Personally, I`d rather see a dedicated Aliens site. As apposed to an every games site.

One day we can hope there will be one like AVPNews again. I know there's PlanetAVP and others but it's not the same.

Oh wow I missed this thread earlier. I've been in and out of here for a while now, not since the beginning but I've been around haha, definitely remember some of those sweet banners. I wish the AvP community was still as strong as it was but I'm really just glad to see that all of us are still around. I used to play Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 religiously and I talk to maybe one of two of the guys I used to play with every now and then. Maybe we can make a rebound with a new game release! That would be sick.
