Brought my dog as well, but on the way back to the main spawn, just as I was about to jump into the cart, the fucking dog jumped straight into it, pushing it into the booster tracks, and before I knew it I saw my own dog disappearing away on the rails into the horizon, presumable gone. If he would be able to, he'd probably give me the finger and shout "who's riding the cart now, bitch?" before disappearing. ![]() Duo's brother and I ran along the tracks past several stations, with no trace of the dog. When finally reaching the end station, the main spawn one - that little fucker STILL sat and chilled in my cart, just looking at me and happily sticking out his tongue when I arrived. So, can a dog ride a minecart for many miles? Myth confirmed. ![]() Some pictures of my current project so far, my modern intepretation of the classic Zeppelins - the Norge II. At first i strugged intensely making the complex cigar/tubed shape floating in the sky (if each time I fell to my death counted as a deceased worker, the death count would probably be up in the 20s now). I later on figured out that you can actually draw the shapes in MS Paint first, turn on the grid and just copy the pixels into the 1x1 square blocks in the game. Here's the chart and the progress of the ship's inner skeleton this far. Might not be as impressive as those hyper forts and cities you other guys have made, but I like to build a bit differently and steady. ![]() ![]() The 'foundation' before I figured out how to make the tube shape effeciently. Sicamon City towers and rail line bridge can be seen in the background. ![]() ![]() All my three current overworld creations placed in one single shot. ![]() The 'blueprint' so far. This MS Paint method is fantastic for creating rounded structures and shapes, you should try it out if you haven't already. ![]() ![]() Newest pictures of it so far. And something completely different, I went into the deeper forgotten parts of my underground mine system with my apprentice, also divinely known as Crackshit. Stumbled upon some huge undiscovered cave systems, mined some naturally occuring obisidian before I got Creeper arsefuck-ambushed when balancing on the thin cobblestone ledge above the lava. I got pushed off the ledge and into the lava, desintegrating all my valuables including me, leaving Crackshit abandoned. Luckily she actually managed it up to the surface with (at least her) valuables intact. ![]() Yes, that's an approaching zombie in the background. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is a random picture from Mishra and I's camping trip in the deep woods, hunting for some wolves (the story and outcome can be read about earlier in this thread, most of you probably already know that it went to complete shit). Mishra appeared to be a bit lonely when he placed a double bed for the night. Well, that's it for now, soon the massive wool consumption for the Zeppelin exterior will begin amidst probably many many more falls to the death! | |

Do you not use the crouch/stealth button when building to avoid falling ? It has saved me from so many deaths I couldn't even count. Either that or build a safety net from wool or something, when you want to remove it just set it in fire, but make sure your other parts don't catch it ![]() Or you can if you want to replicate the real zeppelin case

I do use shift to avoid walking off edges, but I must admit, if I'm feeling lazy or am in a hurry, it happens that I attempt to jump from one pillar to another. 90% of the time it works, but not always if I miscoordinate the jump. The way some of the ladders to the scaffolding is set up is a bit quirky too, so the design isn't fool proof.
I do got a safety net as you can see in the picture of the aft, but I haven't extended it to run along the entire length of the ship yet. And I have a sort of ambivalent feeling towards the nerfing of the fire mechanics, while the weaker new flames implemented in the update prevents accidental gigantic forest or structure fires, it's a bit underwhelming when you want to burn down a structure, as the fire spreads very slowly and often just dies down despite there being loads more combustable material nearby ![]() Also built a huge underground altar inspired by Sicamon's with a Nether portal, so I'm looking forward to it being turned on after the next update! |

1.7 is coming on Thursday. I'll update this post when the servers updated. Until such time, you wont be able to get on the server if you choose to update. I'm leaving admin powers turned on for now as the adventure part of the update (npc villages, new combat mechanics, xp etc) has been moved to 1.8. They'll go when that gets released, which wont be for a while yet.

I'll have to stock up on TNT then, or try to get over the addiction somehow.
I'm flattening the area behind my city wall with TNT (why didn't I think of this sooner when I was digging around with a shovel like an idiot for days) Tons of fun, need to fill in some holes later though, but not an issue, except for some of the holes being very deep because after a few hits I saw monsters at the bottom and then I wanted to kill them with more TNT, revealing even more twats to kill with more TNT ![]() I suppose this is completely sane behaviour right ? |

Just gonna leave this here...its a work in progress
![]() ![]() Also, I've taken some quick pictures of my "roller coaster". Enjoy! ![]() Front entrance ![]() First part of the track, notice the fall onto a lower track (inspired by Siccy himself ) that will deposit you onto my floating castle, which is the only way to get there btw. To get back down, you'll have to go up to the third floor and ride down on this...![]() ![]() Which will promptly drop you off next to my summer home and the rail line leading to spawn. Funny thing is that I ended up making it after I'd decided I'd had enough of those damned creepers blowing up a chunk of the island when I climbed the ladder directly down. ![]() Its pretty fun to ride that thing around auctually lol! |

I don't really care about the difficulty, creepers gonna creep.
I've got a few epic, epic ideas in my head but I don't know if I'll have the strength of will to go through with them. seriously epic. the first one is putting an outer wall around my castle. pretty easy just gotta plan it out. second is finishing my glass tower and topping it off with a giant glass sphere filled with water. third is turn my castle into a floating castle island by digging out all of the surrounding ground and stone to the bedrock and have the island do a stalagmite formation. |

Enemies will not be any more/less plentiful when adjusting between easy/normal/hard, but you will take way more damage at the harder difficulity levels, plus that Creepers are more prone to blowing up.

Yah took me ages to figure some of these things out, but I've been doing some nice stuff recently (see my train station track change circuit)
Yesterday the server was fucked up at one point though, nothing with redstone worked.. Imagine me first thinking I made a mistake and messing around for half an hour trying to fix it, before I ran out and saw that also the simple redstone door wasn't working. Strange bug, eventually even redstone torches didn't light up. So I spent the time instead to decorate my trainstation more modern, looks nice already |

One thing about the nether though, I noticed that when I entered my own portal, I was placed into an area that already seemed to have been built a bit on (cobblestone protection walls etc), so I guess it's your work Sicamon? When I tried to exit through the same portal I came in, I appeared in your city. How do the mechanics of this really work? At least I now got an extremely fast way to travel to your place. |
