Looks like i'll be getting a GTX 260 Core 216 version graphics card in the new year,my current card is fine but i'm getting a bigger monitor and i might aswell get a new card with it.
Also i'd love to get a Core I7 Voodoo Omen PC with SLI GTX 280's or crossfire 4870X2's but there isn't really anything coming out in the next 12 months that would warrent such a huge expendature. |

Bitchin PC very similar to my friend's rig apart from he owns a penry Quad core, shame about Abit leaving the motheboard business.
Can't say much about Abit since i've only used Gigabyte and Asus but they are a popular motherboard brand amongst enthusiast pc gamers, they will be missed. |

Have they kicked the bucket then? First Ive heard.
Ive got another pc which is Asus Crosshair 3ghz AMD Athlon x2, geforce 8800gtx 2 gig corsair twin x ram. The pc I listed in my previous post is very fast, I installed far cry 2 and went into graphics options and it was pre set to the maximum. And no lag what so ever. Nothing at all. Will install crysis tonight. |

It will use 4gb minus whatever other memory your other devices have (mainly video card, but some other hardware have small amounts of physical memory.)
32bit OS's can directly address 4gb's of total memory across RAM and other devices. So if your vid card is 512mb, and you have 4gb of RAM, 512mb of it will go unused. So for instance some laptops will show all 4gb's available in Vista 32bit because the video card shares this memory and doesn't have seperate memory. But for most 32bit desktops buying 3gb of RAM seems to make the most sense especially with a high end video card; although it's not a huge cost issue and if 64bit OS makes sense in the future (better software compatibility) then you won't have to mess with upgrading your RAM and making sure all the timings are the same later on down the road. |

Meh, only Crysis Warhead needs more than 2GB of ram, no point in getting any more to be honest.

560 Ti's are seriously good cards. You can get two for the price of one 580 and they will out-perform it at every turn. I'm using two MSI Hawk's in one of my PC's and the thing is Godly. Really good value.
In another PC I'm using an Asus matrix 580. Excellent card but it can't match the 560 Ti's, even if I overclock it. |

Ye the 560 Ti cant be beat on value for money.
Only problem is the lack of VRAM for the higher resolutions. (Bigger resolution the further you can spot the enemy) Is the Matrix that 3GB card? |

I`m still using my aging Crosshair III
1090T @ 3600. 8 gigs of DDR 3. just got a new EVGA GTX 680 SC that replaced my GTX 295. Nothing of note on the horizon that is really going to force a major pc rebuild. I am thinking of upgrading prolly next Spring. |
