( READ ATTACHED PRESS RELEASE ) Following a vague gold announcement on the games official website, Activision today announced that The Movies has officially gone gold, and is on track for a November 8th, 2005, release for the PC platform. Developed by Lionhead Studios, The Movies puts players to the task of becoming Hollywood players, through the creation of movies created through player studios. I could care less for anything Peter Monyleux and his Lionhead studios puts out anymore. All his games seem to be mediocre. Granted he always has some type of unique game...they just arent fun. |

Same here. In fact, when I read about a game and the words Peter Molyneux pop up, my interest in the game falls, and I think, "I wonder how much hype/bs he'll spew this time." |

God damn it Talon, why must you slash my shallow attempt at having some hope for this game?
Fable was ok, for about 5 hours till you beat it. |

Never played Fable, so I can't comment on that particular title, but I will say that I stopped uisng time played as an indicator of how much fun I got out of a title. I would prefer a tight, well designed short game (Ico), then a wider, less compelling long game (Doom ]|[)*. Come to think of it, the most fun I have had the past couple of years have been on titles that take less than 7 hours to complete.
*Yes, I am well aware of how bad my comparisons are. |

It's not a bad idea for a game, but not one I'd rush out and buy. |

I'll probably try it out by less-than-legit means before dishing out a bunch of money for it. I'm more excited for Black & White 2. |

Its funny that you feel that way about him that way, i personally love all his games, but i do feel the same way about sid meir. I find none of his games intresting at all and I love RTS games. |

Molyneux is good. I haven't played anything of his since B&W, which was HUGELY dissapointing, but I really wanna check out Fable: TLC when it hits XBox... B&W2 and Movies don't sound particularly interesting to me though. I dunno, making movies.. blah. I DO like Phobia's idea though... |
